The Queendom of Revara
Capital: Inhepeth
Ruler: Queen Galiella Tol’Reeva
Faith: The Twin Gods — Brazzim
People: The Reeva — the Sand Tamers
An influential and ancient nation in the southern regions of the eastern continent, known for its magical prowess and rich cultural heritage. Its landscape transitions from fertile moors to vast deserts. The capital, Inhepeth, sits centrally, surrounded by lush moors that support the population and its agriculture.
The Reeva possess the unique ability to manipulate earth and sand, divided into classes by proficiency. Sand Mages are entry-level users — the foot soldiers, relying on crafted armor and weaponry. Stone Mages manipulate rock and earth and wear official robes, having shed the need for armor. Tremors are the highest class, possessing immense strength and control; kept in rigorous training and meditation, they rarely see battle unless necessary and are considered war machines.
Reeva typically have darker complexions with hair from black to brown. Men grow large, styled beards as a symbol of maturity; cutting one’s facial hair is a mark of losing manhood unless done ceremonially with the “Mark of Man” — a ritual cut from the back of the skull to the forehead. High-class warriors earn legendary titles such as Zarrathan the Shackled and Uluma the Shard.
Daughter of King Rosk II, she has ruled since his assassination in 1242 B.A, when she was only seventeen. An extremely intelligent young woman and a gifted Stone Mage — a title she gained not long before her father’s death — she is considered occasionally hot-headed and cunning, bent on reforming and rebelling against norms. She was trained by Uluma the Shard.
The Reeva have a long-standing rivalry with the Thayn Empire fueled by religious and territorial disputes. Tul Reeva was once a Thayn house, banished from Thaya in 1763 B.A during the final civil war between the Tuls. The legendary earth mages of Revara carved the great canyon that marks the border to halt the Empire’s southern expansion. Revaran, their language, is a dialect of Thayn — where Thayn says Tul’, Revaran says Tol’.
Zarrathan the Shackled — a Tremor of immense strength, notorious through the 3rd and 4th wars; he reportedly killed a vast number of Brazz Knights while remaining unharmed, making him the most wanted being by the Empire. Former Alpher Keleso called him “The Greatest Threat to the Empire”. Yulia — his daughter, not as gifted in sand taming, who tries desperately to gain his approval. Uluma the Shard — a high-class Sand Tamer known for deadly shards of stone in battle. Marux and Derkoni — gifted Stone Mages and battle companions.
