Faith: Novo, the moon

The Avo live in the colder region of the northern continent — an extremely calm and peaceful place with a storm season that brings its notorious snowy and icy landscapes. The Na’vo, or Avo, are known as the race that worships the moon, or the race of beauty: followers of the goddess Novo, whose moonlight their elders relied upon to hunt in the snow.

The Avo

Similarly diverse to the Thayn and Reeva, though paler, with longer, elvish ears and eyes of white, silver, purple and blue. They have the ability to manipulate ice and water through magic; the more powerful water tamers can transition into mages and even produce water from thin air.

The land has been affected by Solum, with the south coast of Avoz warming. Some say it is for the better, but it has had an undeniable cultural impact and brought visitors from the other races — brave Keru flocks from the west and Thayn travelers from the east. The Avo believe Solum to be a simple storm and speculate there may be land beyond it.

Key figures

Lyra of Avoz — a young woman first taken hostage by King Hatimir Tul’Ootza as proof of a bounty to the north. He persuades her to carry his children in the hope she will be his queen once he takes Avoz. She harbours a hatred for Nissa Tul’Minika and plots her death at the Pitt Games in Jutta.
